Just in case anyone is planning on being in this area, gas has risen from $2.19 three weeks ago and is now over $3.00!!!! That's with the oil price hanging steady...guess those speculators are back at work.

Summertime gas prices on the move again.

Oil is around $66.00/bbl, should be $1.80/gal or less....

...printing trillions of dollars makes the dollar value drop....it's gonna get worse.

How's that "CHANGE" working out....???

I like the idea of having that Burger King next to the Chevron station on the west end of town. The cheapest fuel in Tonopah, I have found, is that place about half way down the main drag on the left. I'm thinking it is west of the old Mizpah, same side of the street.

We stay (normally) at the High Desert Inn when we are in town. It's a Best Western and reasonable, pet friendly and they have a pool and hot tub. The owners of the place are great.

The casino at the east end of town, The Ramada, makes a good breakfast. I won $300. in quarters the last time I was there. The rooms are a bit small though.

Giggles Springs is the cheap place next to the Mizpah. They are currently at $2.89. The Chevron at Burger King is at $3.19!!!!

I fueled up there last week. It's better to have a full tank that be walking.

Well, if B.O. gets his way, and it looks like the House voted his way on this Cap And Tax bill, we'll be walking a helluva lot more. $2.89 will be nothing compared to what the lefties want a price for a gallon to be.

If it passes, I will seriously think about abandoning getting a UTV or a quad and calling it quits altogether.

Good news if you are travelling through Tonopah. The station next to Giggles reopened and the gas wars are on! Price drop 70 cents a gallon over night and are $2.19 a gallon right now!
